Product catalog summary
Introduction
The OXIWORKS® Diffuser is a high-efficiency fine bubble diffuser designed for the BIOWORKS® extended aeration process. It enhances oxygen transfer and mixing efficiency in bioreactors.

How It Works
Compressed air is delivered from blowers to floating lateral headers, then through connectors and hoses into the diffuser assembly. The air is distributed through tubular membranes, creating fine bubbles for aeration and mixing. The system's movement maximizes oxygen transfer and covers a larger area than fixed diffusers, reducing required mixing intensity by 30%.

Specifications
  • Total length: 81 inches (2.06m)
  • Total width: 20.75 inches (0.526m)
  • Typical water depth: 8 – 18 feet (2.5 – 5.5m)
  • Weight: 65 lbs (28kg)
  • Air rate: 6 - 50 SCFM (10 – 80 m3/h)

Components
  • Floating HDPE Air Header (Lateral)
  • 1” EPDM Connector Hose & 316SS fittings
  • Air manifold for diffuser pipes
  • Diffusers with Silicone membranes

OXIRISE® Maintenance and Retrieval System
This system allows for easy retrieval and maintenance of diffuser assemblies without manual lifting or process interruption. It enables surface retrieval and periodic activation to extend membrane life.

Quality and Compliance
The OXIWORKS® diffuser is made from high-quality, durable, and corrosion-proof materials, including temperature and acid-resistant silicone membranes. It complies with the latest technology standards.

OXIWORKS®Brochure-1

The OXIWORKS® Diffuser OXIWORKS® is a high efficiency fine bubble diffuser designed for use in the BIOWORKS® extended aeration process. How It Works From the blowers and air main, the compressed air is supplied to each floating lateral header. The air then flows through the 1” connectors and downcomer hoses into the OXIWORKS® diffuser assembly. In the diffuser, the air is distributed through the tubular membranes, creating 1 mm diameter fine air bubbles, for aeration and mixing. The lateral oscillating motion of the floating laterals combined with the suspended diffusers, allows continuous free movement within the bioreactor. The OXIWORKS® moving fine bubble aeration system offers two major advantages over fixed diffusers: • The oxygen transfer driving force is maximized because the diffusers continuously move towards areas of low dissolved oxygen. This increases the overall efficiency of the system and achieves substantial energy savings. • The moving diffusers mix a significantly larger area than the equivalent number of fixed diffusers, because the slow movement allows the laterals to oscillate over a wide area. OXIWORKS® can reduce the required mixing intensity (air) by 30% compared to fixed systems. 1. Floating HDPE Air Header (Lateral) 2. 1” EPDM Connector Hose & 316SS fittings 3. OXIRISE® Maintenance and Retrieval System The simple retrievable and maintenance system with no manual lifting and no process interruption. The traditional way to retrieve the diffuser assemblies for maintenance is manual and messy. BIOWORKS has developed a simple and effective system to make the task much easier and cleaner. The OXIRISE® system allows the operator to raise each diffuser assembly to the surface without ever entering the bioreactor basin – simply by throwing a switch at side of the basin. This offers at least two benefits: • When work on the diffuser is necessary, it can be retrieved...
