CBR Brochure

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document describes the CBR Continuous Fill Batch Reactor, a packaged wastewater treatment process designed for small communities. It utilizes sequential batch reactor activated sludge technology to produce high-quality effluent without complex controls or sophisticated equipment.
Process Design Features:
  • Stage 1 - Settlement: The outer tank fills continuously with wastewater, reaching the top water level in 60 minutes at maximum design flow, while the inner tank undergoes settlement for 45 minutes.
  • Stage 2 - Effluent Discharge: The decant valve opens to discharge treated effluent from the system.
  • Stage 3 - End Effluent Discharge: The inner tank liquid level drops to the bottom water level, and the decant valve closes.
  • Stage 4 - Transfer: The transfer valve opens to equalize tank levels, then closes to restart the process cycle.
Key Features:
  • Small footprint and low profile design.
  • Simple design for maximum reliability and minimal operator input.
  • Modular and easily expandable.
  • Continuous filling without influent equalization.
  • Integral batch settlement under quiescent conditions.
  • Decanting of clear treated effluent.
  • Filamentous bulking sludge control and integral waste sludge digestion.
  • No need for scrapers, clarifiers, or moving decanter mechanisms.
  • Pre-fabricated, "plug & play" systems.
Applications: The CBR is suitable for municipal, domestic, and industrial applications with population equivalents from 250 to 2,000, including towns, rural communities, parks, schools, hospitals, and various food and beverage industries.

CBR Brochure-1

CBR Continuous Fill Batch Reactor Packaged wastewater treatment process for small communities. CBR uses sequential batch reactor activated sludge technology in a single modular process unit designed specifically for small facilities, to produce high quality effluent without the need for any complex controls or sophisticated moving equipment such as clarifiers, sludge scrapers and RAS pumps. Process Design Features: • Small footprint & low profile • Decanting of clear treated effluent • Simple design for maximum reliability • Filamentous bulking sludge control • Simple control philosophy • Integral waste sludge digestion • Minimal operator input required • Modular design - easily expandable • No scrapers, clarifier or moving decanter mechanisms • Continuous filling - no influent equalization required • Pre-fabricated, “plug & play” systems • Integral batch settlement under quiescent conditions Stage 2 Stage 1 CBR stages of process cycle operation Stage 1 - Settlement Outer tank fills continuously with wastewater, rising from Bottom Water Level (BWL) to Top Water Level (TWL) in 60 minutes at maximum design flow. Inner tank undergoes settlement for 45 minutes. Stage 2 - Effluent discharge Decant valve opens after settlement, discharging treated effluent from the system. Stage 4 Stage 3 - End effluent discharge Inner tank liquid level drops to BWL. Decant valve closes at end of decanting effluent. Stage 3 Stage 4 - Transfer Transfer valve opens, all tank levels rapidly equalize. Transfer valve closes and process cycle re-starts.
