BIOWORKS® Wastewater Treatment System A long sludge age, extended aeration wastewater treatment process. The economical design of the BIOWORKS® system, utilizing earthen or concrete basins and a moving suspended aeration system, combines a highly stable biological process with minimal investment, operating and maintenance costs to give a high quality effluent. Robust and durable components manufactured in the USA include OXIWORKS® energy-saving aeration system, and OXIRISE® maintenance and retrieval system. BIOWORKS® is widely used for a variety of applications in municipalities, towns, and rural environments. Features of BIOWORKS®: • Minimal capital investment, operating and maintenance costs • Earthen or concrete basins allow a long sludge age, stable extended aeration process • Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) includes nitrification, denitrification and biological phosphorous removal • Cross-flow clarifier for optimum settling efficiency and recycle sludge rates The OXIWORKS® self-moving, suspended fine bubble aeration system maximizes efficiency and reduces energy costs, while OXIRISE® makes maintenance easy.
