783 ACR

Product catalog summary
Application Areas: The product is suitable for use with bolts, screws, press fits, pipe threads, and pump sleeves.
Key Features and Benefits: The product contains no toxic heavy metals, is waterproof, and features ultra-fine particles. It operates over a broad temperature range and is corrosion-resistant, capable of withstanding extreme pressures up to 8928 kg/cm2 (126,983 psi). It is designed for use under extreme conditions.
Packaging: Available in 250g and 500g brush top containers, and 20L containers.
Directions: Treat all threaded or press-fit parts before assembly to ease the process. Ensure surfaces are clean and apply liberally to mating surfaces.
Description: Chesterton® 783 ACR is an advanced anti-seize compound with ultra-fine inorganic solid lubricants. It is effective under severe temperature and pressure conditions, preventing metal-to-metal contact and providing corrosion protection. It offers 20 times longer rust protection than conventional products and is virtually waterproof, making it suitable for harsh environments like marine and chemical plants.
Typical Physical Properties: The product appears as a light gray soft paste with a specific gravity of 1.33 kg/l and an average particle size of less than 11 microns. It has an extreme pressure rating of 8928 kg/cm2 and operates between -34°C to 900°C. It has a coefficient of friction "K" factor of 0.160 and demonstrates high corrosion resistance.
Technical Data: The data provided reflects laboratory test results and indicates general characteristics. Users must determine product suitability for specific applications and assume associated risks. Chesterton disclaims all warranties, including those of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Maximum Bolt Service Temperatures: The document lists maximum service temperatures for various steel types, indicating that the use of threaded pastes does not extend the service temperature of fasteners/bolts. Consultation with a bolting supplier is recommended for proper temperature and tension limits.

APPLICATION AREAS • Bolts • Screws • Press Fits • Pipe Threads • Pump Sleeves • No toxic heavy metals • Waterproof • Ultra-fine particles • Broad service temperature range • Corrosion resistant • For extreme pressure - up to 8928 kg/cm2 (126,983 psi) • Usable under most extreme conditions PACKAGING 250g Brush Top 500g Brush Top 20L DIRECTIONS Treat all threaded or press-fit parts before joining to make assembly and disassembly easier. Surfaces should be free of dirt, oil, grease, etc. Apply liberally to mating surfaces. Chesterton® 783 ACR represents the newest generation of anti-seize compound. A proprietary blend of ultra-fine inorganic solid lubricants, 783 ACR can be used under extremely severe conditions of temperature and pressure to assist in assembly and disassembly of threaded components. Because the particles are ultra-fine, they spread evenly and fill surface profiles to prevent metal to metal contact and insure thorough coverage. Chesterton 783 ACR protects assembled parts against corrosion and presents a barrier to the corrosive effects of moisture, steam, salt water, high temperatures and corrosive chemicals. In a standard corrosion test, ASTM B-117, 783 provides 20 times longer rust protection than conventional anti-seize products. In resistance to water wash off, 783 can be considered virtually waterproof. The result is long term performance even in difficult environments such as marine, chemical plants, or metals refining.
