Polyester Laminated to Linear Low Density Polyethylene (PTCL)

Polyester Laminated to Linear Low Density Polyethylene (PTCL)

Product catalog summary
Performance Data:
The document provides performance data for PTCL and PTWH films with varying mil thicknesses (3.0, 3.5, 4.0). Key metrics include haze percentage, dart grams, Elemendorf tear strength in both machine direction (MD) and transverse direction (TD), tensile strength in MD and TD, moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR), and oxygen transmission rate (OTR). These values reflect nominal test data and may vary due to process fluctuations.
Technical Specifications:
The films comply with FDA regulations (21 CFR 177.1350 and 21 CFR 177.1520). They support press printing, imprinting, and trim sealing. The configuration options include Autobag, SidePouch, and stand-up pouches with certain restrictions.
User Benefits:
The films protect ink from abrasion and chemical breakdown, improve shelf appeal, offer good clarity and strength, have excellent tear characteristics, and provide very good barrier properties.
Typical Applications:
These films are suitable for food, medical, retail, automotive, crafts, and any application where print protection or easy tear properties are desired.
Material Composition:
PTCL and PTWH films are laminations of 48 gauge PET to a clear or white LLDPE sealant layer, providing excellent stiffness and gloss. They are commonly used in stand-up pouches for superior retail appeal.
Lamination Benefits:
The lamination process protects ink by trapping it between film layers, preventing abrasion and chemical reactions. It also enhances color and gloss.
Compatibility:
Genuine Autobag® bags-on-a-roll and SidePouch® specialty bags are system-matched for use with Automated Packaging Systems’ equipment.
Trademark Notice:
The document notes that Automated Packaging Systems, Inc. claims trademark rights for certain terms, which may be registered in the United States and other countries.

Polyester Laminated to Linear Low Density Polyethylene (PTCL)-1

Polyester Laminated to Linear Low Density Polyethylene (PTCL) PTCL and PTWH films are a lamination of 48 gauge PET to a clear or white LLDPE sealant layer. The material provides excellent stiffness and gloss for maximum brand impact. It is frequently used in stand-up pouches or other pouches where superior retail appeal is desired. Typical applications include food (fresh and frozen), medical, and a variety of industrial products. The lamination process traps the ink between the layers of film, guarding it from external sources of abrasion. Laminated film is also ideal for protecting print when the packaged product contains a chemical that could react negatively with surface printing. In addition to protecting the ink, lamination enhances the color and gloss of the bag. Genuine Autobag® bags-on-a-roll and SidePouch® specialty bags and stand up pouches are system-matched and guaranteed to run on all Automated Packaging Systems’ bagging equipment.
