Carbon Fiber Waste Utilization
Annually, 20,000 tons of carbon fiber waste are generated from the production of carbon fiber-reinforced components. AUTEFA Solutions provides methods to recycle these fibers into nonwovens, emphasizing that these fibers are high-quality materials rather than waste.

Recycling Process
The recycling process begins with determining the matrix content of the waste. If the waste contains matrix materials, such as prepreg or hardened components, the matrix must be removed through pyrolysis. Dry, resin-free waste can be processed directly using AUTEFA Solutions' recycling plants. The fibers are prepared using the UniRec Tearing Machine, allowing for the production of various nonwovens.
