Specifications: The pump must have a bronze or stainless steel shaft sleeve extending the length of the seal plate, with a gasket-sealed shaft extension to prevent contact with pumped liquid. Impellers should be cast bronze, dynamically balanced, and key locked to the shaft.
Flexible Coupled-Frame Mounted (3314): Pumps and motors are mounted on a common steel or steel fabricated drip rim baseplate. The shaft, made of steel or stainless steel, is installed in a cast iron power frame. The design allows for a maximum shaft deflection of .002” at the seal face under maximum load. Grease ball bearings have a minimum life of 3 years under maximum load conditions. The pump is flexible coupled to a standard horizontal NEMA motor, with alignment checked per Hydraulic Institute standards to ensure no strain is transmitted to the pumps.
Horizontal Close-Coupled (3311): Each pump is close-coupled to a HI-NEMA motor, with all models having motors supplied with feet.
Vertical Close-Coupled (3312): Each pump is close-coupled to a HI-NEMA motor.
