MORE PORTS FOR NETWORK COMMUNICATION The new SIMA2 can manage up to four independent, galvanically isolated and logically separated actuator networks. This way, the actuators can easily and clearly be grouped and assigned to different installation segments while supporting loop and line topologies. SIMA2 exclusively uses open and standardised fieldbus protocols for communication. Communication to field devices is made via Modbus RTU, to the DCS via Modbus RTU or TCP/IP - both also available as redundant schemes as an option. SIMPLE ASSEMBLY -COST EFFICIENCY Thanks to the compact design, a redundant system with master and hot standby SIMA2 now perfectly fits into a single 19" standard housing. Premium ergonomics was an absolute must for the redesign of SIMA2. The front of the system can be pulled out like a drawer allowing perfect accessibility of all ports even in confined control cabinet spaces. The cables run underneath the housing, increasing comfort and optimising space constraints. Investment and installation cost could be considerably reduced due the many improvements made.
