Manual operation Electric actuators are always equipped with a handwheel. During commissioning, the actuator is operated manually via the handwheel for the purpose of setting the end positions. Parallel signal transmission to the DCS AC controls Compared to the AM, integral actuator controls, AC supplies a far larger number of feedback signals. The plant operator decides which signals are to be transmitted. The same is valid for input definition. Assignment of inputs and outputs can be modified at a later date with the AC device setting.
