Overview: The ANPx101ext is a linear, horizontal stepper
positioner with an extended travel range, designed for precise positioning applications in various environments.
Technology and Working Conditions: The positioner uses an inertial piezo drive mechanism and is suitable for horizontal axis mounting. It operates effectively in magnetic fields ranging from 0 to 31 T and temperatures from 0 to 100 °C in standard conditions, and from 10 mK to 300 K in low-temperature conditions. The maximum bake-out temperature is 150 °C, with pressure capabilities down to 5E-11 mbar in ultra-high vacuum conditions.
Size and Dimensions: The device has a footprint of 24 x 48 mm and a height of 11.5 mm, maintaining these dimensions even at maximum extension.
Positioning Modes: - Coarse Positioning: Offers a travel range of 12 to 20 mm with a typical minimum step size of 50 nm at 300 K and 10 nm at 4 K. The maximum speed is approximately 3 mm/s.
- Fine Positioning: Provides a scan range of 7.5 µm at 300 K and 1.2 µm at 4 K, with sub-nanometer resolution.
Materials: The positioner body is made of non-magnetic titanium, with PZT ceramics used for the actuator. It weighs 35 g.
Load and Movement Accuracy: The device supports a maximum vertical load of 100 g, with static and dynamic forces along the axis of 4 N and 2 N, respectively. It can handle a maximum torque of 10 Ncm. Step size repeatability and forward/backward step asymmetry are typically within 5%.
Connectors and Feedthroughs: The device features a 2-pole pin plug for standard versions and an integrated connector with a 30 cm cable for high vacuum versions.
Temperature Dependent Data: At 300 K, the input voltage range is 0 to +100V with a typical actuator capacitance of 1550 nF. At 4 K, the capacitance is 220 nF.
Mounting Options: The positioner can be mounted using four through holes for M2 screws on the front side, four M2.5 x 4 mm threads on the backside, and six M2 x 3 mm threads for load mounting.
Compatibility with Electronics: Compatible with ANC106, ANC150, ANC200, ANC300, and ANC350 piezo controllers, with specific versions for each.
Drawings: Includes top, bottom, side, and 3D views for the ANPx101eXT with 20 mm travel.
