Product catalog summary

Overview

The Atos LID series consists of modular cartridge valves designed for check functions, compliant with ISO 7368 standards, covering sizes 16 to 80. These valves integrate a 2-way cartridge housed in a standard recess and a closing element called the "cover." The cartridge features a hydraulically piloted poppet controlled via internal pilot channels within the cover, enabling flow control based on pilot pressure.

Main Specifications

  • Sizes: 16 to 80 (ISO 7368 / DIN 24342)
  • Flow Capacity: Up to 5600 l/min at a differential pressure (Δp) of 6 bar
  • Maximum Pressure: 350 bar at ports A, B, X, Z1, Z2; 70 bar at port Y
  • Assembly Position: Any position
  • Ambient Temperature Range: -20°C to +70°C
  • Fluid Compatibility: Hydraulic oils per DIN 51524-535; other fluids require consultation
  • Recommended Fluid Viscosity: 15 to 100 mm²/s at 40°C (ISO VG 15-100)
  • Fluid Contamination Class: ISO 4406 class 21/19/16; NAS 1638 class 10; 25 μm inline filters recommended (β25 ≥ 75)
  • Seal Materials: NBR standard; FPM (PE) optional for higher temperature or fluid compatibility

Valve Types and Model Codes

The LID series includes several models differentiated by function and size range:

  • LIDA: Sizes 16–25 and 32–80, direct operated, normally closed
  • LIDO: Sizes 16–50, direct operated, normally closed
  • LIDB: Sizes 16–63, with shuttle valve for pilot selection
  • LIDR: Sizes 16–63, with hydraulically operated pilot check valve

Model codes specify valve type, size, seal material, and optional features such as external attachments or calibrated pilot channel plugs.

Hydraulic Characteristics

  • Flow vs. Pressure Drop: Maximum flow rates vary by size, from 180 l/min (size 16) up to 5600 l/min (size 80) at Δp = 6 bar.
  • Cracking Pressure: Determined by poppet spring selection; available cracking pressures include 0.3, 0.6, 1.5, 3, and 5.5 bar.
  • Pilot Ratio (LIDR only): AZ1 : Ax = 3:1

Poppet Functions and Options

Poppets control the check function and are hydraulically piloted. Various poppet types are available, each with specific flow characteristics and opening pressures. Some poppets include damping noses for smoother operation. Poppet codes (e.g., 32, 33, 42, 43, 52, 62, 63) define their function and size compatibility.

  • Opening pressures depend on spring and area ratios.
  • Special options include different calibrated plugs for pilot channels to tailor flow and response.

Construction and Assembly

  • Subplate Surface Finish: Roughness Ra 0.4, flatness 0.01/100 mm (ISO 1101)
  • Recess and Cover Dimensions: Detailed dimensional data provided for sizes 16 to 80, including diameters, lengths, and tolerances to ensure compatibility with ISO 7368 mounting standards.
  • Fastening: Hexagon socket head screws per DIN 912 class 12.9, with tightening torques specified by size (ranging from 35 Nm to 2100 Nm).

Seals and Materials

Standard seals are NBR suitable for mineral oil and water glycol fluids. FPM (PE) seals are available for higher temperature applications or alternative fluids. Seal selection affects fluid temperature range and compatibility.

Recommendations and Best Practices

  • Use recommended fluid viscosity and contamination levels to ensure valve longevity and performance.
  • Specify calibrated pilot channel plugs when ordering to match application requirements.
  • Ensure proper tightening torque on fastening bolts to maintain sealing and mechanical integrity.
  • Consult fluid compatibility section for non-standard fluids.

Summary

The Atos LID modular cartridge valves provide versatile, high-performance check valve solutions for hydraulic systems requiring ISO 7368 compliance. Their modular design allows customization through various poppet types, pilot options, and seal materials. The valves support high flow rates and pressures, with detailed dimensional and assembly data ensuring easy integration into hydraulic circuits.

Modular cartridge valves type LID-1

Modular cartridge valves type LID Check function, ISO 7368 sizes from 16 to 80 LID are cartridge valves for check function composed by a 2-way cartridge housed in a recess of standard dimensions and by a closing functional element ቢ called “cover”. The cartridge is composed by a poppet ባ hydraulically piloted by means of internal connections in the cover (X, Z1, Z2, F, Y) and sliding into a drilled sleeve ቤ. The flow is inhibited or permitted according to a proper pilot control. Normally closed and normally open versions are available; cracking pressure value depends on poppet spring ብ. These valves are available in standard sizes 16 to 80 according to ISO 7368 (DIN 24342). Flow up to 5600 l/min at Δp = 6 bar. Pressure up to 350 bar.
