The fruit passes through a feed tube and is placed individually into orienting cups where its suture is aligned as it is conveyed to the transfer section. A smooth, gentle transfer is made to the pitter where peaches are halved and separated from the pits. The Standard Peach Pitter is manufactured with modern bearing materials, water lubrication, and can be operated continuously with a wide range of fruit quality. The Atlas Standard Peach Pitter has been part of our fruit preparation equipment since 1986, expanding our worldwide sales and service coverage offered to processors. With normal fruit, the Standard Pitter operates as a high-yield torque pitter. When a split pit occurs, the selective device identifies the problem and automatically spoon cuts the split pit from the peach, maintaining a continuous flow of clean pitted fruit to the inspection tables. The Standard Pitter offers the best of both pitting methods - torque pitting of good healthy fruit and spoon pitting of less than perfect pits. This provides continuous production volume, reduces sorting and repitting labor, and minimizes downtime, resulting in premium quality fruit halves and a higher profit per case. All machines meet OSHA and UL508 requirements. Machines bearing the CE Mark are also available with customer supplied guards (not shown).
