The SME+ pleated PES membrane filters are an advanced version of the Atlas Copco PES membrane family, designed for bioburden control and sterilization in the Food & Beverage and Chemical industries. These filters feature a single-layer asymmetric, hydrophilic PES membrane with low extractable and protein binding properties, combined with PET support layers and nylon end supports for enhanced wettability.

Devices and Compatibility
SME+ filters are available in various cartridge sizes, all using the same media and materials, ensuring no need for requalification during process scaling. The filters have a polypropylene core and cage, nylon end supports, and PET support layers, providing broad chemical compatibility and a small extractable footprint.

Documentation and Regulatory Compliance
The filters are manufactured under an ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System and comply with EU and US regulations for food contact materials. They meet the criteria for non-fiber releasing filters and bacterial retention standards.

Quality Assurance
Each filter cartridge comes with an electronic Certificate of Conformity, detailing test data and product approvals. Manufacturing occurs in a controlled clean room environment meeting ISO 14644-1 Class 7 standards.
