m INDUSTRIAL m^M AUTOMATION Pivoting and X,Y,Z Rotation Product Description The P1 Pivoting Compliance Compensator is the first model from the new PCC (Pivoting Compliance Compensator) series. The P1 Compensator is for use in automated assembly, bin picking, loading and unloading machines, robotic finishing and more. This unique compensation device allows pieces to be gripped or routed reliably even if the workpiece is severely misaligned. This unit is designed for high endurance and high repeatability. Suitable for most 50 kg robots. Product Advantages Unique Compliance: Patent pending mechanism allows for rotational compliance of ±13 degrees (min) in all three directions, with no lateral movement. Direct Mounting: ISO 125 mm robot flange pattern allows for direct mounting to many standard robot wrists. Adjustable Compliance Stiffness: Unit is spring biased toward it's center position. Apply variable air pressures to lock and unlock air ports to achieve desired stiffness. Flexible Configurations: Many options available, such as center position lock sensing, various tool plate patterns, IP versions, and future through-hole versions. Robust Guidance: When locked, the unit allows for high moment loads in a compact work envelope.
