The ATEX Zone 2 cordless impact wrench is designed for hazardous locations, compliant with ATEX and EX regulations. It is intrinsically safe (C1D2) and suitable for gas/vapor Zone 2 environments. The wrench is available in two models, WR36DE and WR36DF, originally manufactured by Hikoki and certified by Atexxo BV.

Increased Intrinsically Safe (C1D2) Explosion Safety All new developed by Atexxo, ATEX battery powered cordless EX wrench, now suitable for use in hazardous locations. The explosion proof impact wrench (WR36DE and WR36DF) are originally manufactured by Hikoki former Hitachi / Metabo than converted and certified according to the ATEX directives by Atexxo BV. This makes the cordless battery power Wrench suited for safe use in gas /vapor Zone 2 hazardous locations. ATEX Zone 2, 3G equipment is the European equivalent for US, NEC Class 1 Division 2 equipment. (C1D2). Compliance with ATEX / EX regulations is achieved by modification of the battery and electronics together with the intrinsically safe electrical switching circuit, which makes the portable power tool suitable for safe use in hazardous locations. All features of the original product are preserved and can be used safely at hazardous locations. The ATEX impact wrench can be ordered as a set with Body, Battery and Charge Station, and optional with additional spare batteries.
