ATEX Zone 2/22 is the European equivalent for US, NEC Class 1 Division 2 equipment (C1D2) and for Class 2 Division 2 equipment (C2D2). Compliance with ATEX / EX regulations is achieved by modification of the casing together with the intrinsically safe electrical circuit, which makes the tablets suitable for safe use in hazardous locations. Nearly all features of the original product are preserved, except for the button fingerprint scanner. The ATEX iPad mini 7 comes with a aluminum case finish and is available for both the WIFI only model and the WIFI + Cellular 5G model.
