SD/HD MPEG-2 / MPEG-4 Bitrate allocator for Broadcast Video Head End The SmartRate™ SR1000 is an innovative Statistical bitrate allocator. When paired with KyrionTM AM/AS or TITANTM Live encoders, the SR1000 offers unmatched bandwidth optimization. Thanks to new statistical algorithms, up to 30% bandwidth can be saved compared to legacy CBR video head end. Multiplex construction is achieved externally with the modular MC3100 or any other incumbent multiplexer. By applying the latest ATEME compression technology, the KyrionTM AM2102, KyrionTM AS2204 and TITANTM Live encoders benefit from a strong VBR efficiency. SR1000 is capable of adjusting in real time the target bitrates of each encoder to ensure the best usage of the available bandwidth. SR1000 can be set up with priority strategies for the complete multiplex to grant maximum bandwidth optimization for premium channels.
