It is suitable for hot water storage tanks / electric immersion heaters rated up to 3.0 kW. Connected to the Elios4you controller by a cable, the Power Reducer allows the system to divert and route surplus PV power automatically to the immersion heater, without drawing electricity from the grid, even when no more than a few hundred Watts may be available....
