Vacuum Casting

Product catalog summary
Introduction
ASEG GALLONI S.P.A. has developed an advanced aluminum lost-wax casting system that significantly reduces porosity and impurities, offering superior quality for industries like aerospace that require high precision.

Lost Wax Casting Process
This traditional method involves creating a wax or resin model, covering it with a refractory material, and applying vacuum to ensure adhesion and eliminate air bubbles. The model is melted away to form a mold for metal casting. 3D-printed resin models are used for small runs, while silicone rubber molds are used for larger volumes.

Innovative Casting System
The system uses inert gas mixing with vacuum technology to remove hydrogen and impurities from molten aluminum. Graphite propellers mix the metal and introduce inert gas, causing impurities to rise to the surface, resulting in flaw-free castings as confirmed by X-ray spectrometry.

Technical Specifications
The casting machine operates on a three-phase 230/400 V power supply, with a maximum crucible volume of 13,000 cc and a casting capacity of up to 35 kg of aluminum per cycle. It requires cooling water at 12 liters/minute and compressed air at 8-10 bar. Inert gases used include helium, argon, or nitrogen, and it features an external vacuum pump with a capacity of 100 m3/hour.

The G10 Casting Machine
The G10 is designed for high-capacity and precision casting, featuring a low-frequency generator with proportional power control and computerized process management. It includes a vacuum and pressure system for smooth and dense castings, handling up to 35 kg of aluminum with a crucible capacity of 13,000 cc.

Conclusion
ASEG GALLONI S.P.A.'s innovative casting technology offers significant improvements in quality and efficiency, particularly for sectors demanding high precision and reliability.

Overview
The document focuses on the aluminum casting process, emphasizing the removal of hydrogen to improve quality using inert gas, typically nitrogen.

Key Specifications
The G10 system supports a 13,000 cc crucible, allowing for a casting capacity of up to 35 kg of aluminum.

Procedure
The process involves stirring and inflating inert gas at the crucible's bottom, forming small bubbles that aggregate hydrogen, facilitating its removal and bringing waste to the surface.

Recommendations
The G10 system is recommended for casting large parts, highlighting its efficiency in hydrogen removal.
