These compact, high quality, laser modules may be used for machine vision, industrial metrology and machine alignment applications. The high power output allows use in machine vision applications on surfaces with low reflection such as black rubber. The high quality optic results in a very homogeneous and sharp laser line. The focal length may be adjusted without rotating the laser line. Fix focus units are also available. The integrated driver ensures spike-free switching and modulation of the laser at frequencies up to 100kHz. The laser is powered by 5V and modulated with a standard TTL-compatible input. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS FOCUS ADJUSTMENT The power and modulation control inputs are via a shielded 3-pol input connector (Binder – Series 711). The laser module may be focussed from 500mm to 800mm. This adjustment may be realized by turning the focussing optic. Screwing the optic into the module (cw) reduces the focal length. A counter ring is provided to prevent accidental misadjustment.
