Optoelectronics & Engineering Services Wavelength Stabilized Laser Diode Module HIGHLIGHTS • Narrow linewidth • HeNe laser replacement • Excellent beam quality • Industrial metrology • Small size fibre coupled • collimated or fixed focus length • Machine alignment • Quality control • OEM • linear or circular polarization The LDM300 series of laser diode modules are wavelength stabilized to an extremely narrow linewidth of <50MHz (<10-7 relative linewidth). These compact, high quality, laser diode modules may be used for industrial metrology and machine alignment applications. Fibre coupling allows flexible installation and separation of the electrical and optical sections of your design. The very narrow linewidth allows use in interferometic applications. Thus the use of HeNe lasers can be avoided: an obvious advantage in power, space, lifetime and service costs. High quality optics and precision adjustment provide for excellent beam quality and very long collimation distances of 50m and more. Customized fixed focus distances may also be provided. The option of choice of polarization is unique and provides many advantages in measurement reproducibility in metrological applications. The excellent beam quality provides for high reproducibility independant of module rotation. The rugged design is adapted to industrial applications and provides for very high pointing stability. In OEM applications, the small size of the source allows for simple integration. The LDM300 has an exit beam diameter of 5mm. Smaller and larger diameters are available on request.
