The heat output from given in a closed system (steam condensate flowing back =) is calculated using the formula: with P Qm r ΔTD CPD ΔTK cpK = heat output in kW = steam flow in kg / h = heat of vaporization in kJ / kg = temperature difference between steam temperature and saturation temperature = specific heat capacity of vapor in kJ / kg · ° K = temperature difference between saturation temperature and condensate temperature = specific heat capacity of water in kJ / kg · ° K subsequently, the actual flow and the current thermal power integrated over time and added up to two counters. For counting on an adjustable period, two other resettable counters in conjunction with a clock with automatic calendar available. All measured and counted values are displayed with their physical units on an illuminated four-line alphanumeric LCD display. The thermal coefficients of water and steam are calculated according to IAPWSIF97 for a pressure range of 1...100 bar and a temperature range of 0...600 °C. For temperature measurement two Pt100 inputs are available in four-wire circuit.
