Humidification Gas

Product catalog summary
Overview
Armstrong International provides gas-fired humidification solutions with advanced features for efficient and economical operation. The document outlines the specifications, performance features, and safety mechanisms of their Gas Fired HumidiClean system, which incorporates Ionic Bed Technology.
Performance Features
  • Operates using natural gas or propane, offering cost savings compared to electric humidifiers.
  • Features a wide range of humidity outputs suitable for various applications.
  • Includes modulated control of steam output with a turndown ratio of up to 30:1.
  • Equipped with a low NOx infrared burner and an efficiency rating of 82%.
  • Utilizes Ionic Bed Technology to minimize maintenance and cleaning requirements.
Ionic Bed Technology
Ionic Beds are designed to attract and collect solids from water, reducing buildup on the heat exchanger and tank walls. This technology extends the cleaning intervals, conserves water and energy, and reduces downtime. The beds are easy to replace, taking approximately 15 minutes.
Safety Features
  • Pressure switch to detect air movement and back pressure.
  • Ignition control module for monitoring combustion.
  • Flame detection rod to ensure flame presence during combustion.
  • Liquid level control and tank low-level probe to prevent low water conditions.
  • Stack over-temperature sensing to prevent overheating.
  • Tank insulation to prevent access to hot surfaces.
  • End of season drain to avoid standing water during non-use periods.
Operational Process
The system initiates with a pre-combustion safety check, ensuring all circuits are satisfied. The blower activates, and air movement is detected. The ignition control module performs a purge cycle, followed by gas ignition. The system accepts a 0-10 Vdc control signal for proportional output.

Humidification Gas-3

How Armstrong’s Gas Fired HumidiClean Works Upon a call for humidity, the pre-combustion safety check c onfirms that the duct pressure switch, duct high limit h umidistat, and liquid level control circuits are satisfied. The microprocessor then signals the blower to turn on and air m ovement is sensed by the humidifier’s blower pressure switch. The unit then signals the ignition control module to perform a purge cycle. The hot surface igniter comes on and, after it comes up to temperature, the gas valve opens and gas ignition occurs. The flame detection rod senses the presence of the...
