A maximum treatment speed of approx. 15m/min. can be achieved. The device can also be operated clocked or manually. The Arcojet is equipped with a freely radiating electrode which does not require an earthed counter-electrode. The generator generates a high-voltage spark discharge which is transferred from the electrode to the surface which is to be treated by means of an air current. The resulting plasma activates plastic surfaces so that printing ink, paints, adhesives, etc. can be anchored to it. Design: The device comprises the semi-conductor generator with integrated transformer for a generation of high-voltage and the electrode head for the spark discharge. This is connected to the generator by a hose for the fan air and another for the high-voltage cable. The electronics are of a modular design and the individual modules are of a plug-in design. The connections for the signal inputs and outputs are on connectors (industrial standard) so that they can be controlled via an overriding system.
