Cleaning of flexographic printing machine Before Blaster: BL60 Air volume: 4-6 m3/min Low pressure: Between 5-7 bar Micro Pellets (Ø1,7 mm) + regular 3 mm pellets Feasibility study: Dry Ice was preferred because: • Important not to use water or chemicals • No damage to equipment • Reducing DOWN TIME by several days The machine prints 600 meters per minute Each DOWN TIME hour represents 36.000 linear meters! Anual DOWN TIME savings are more than enough to pay the yearly costs of cleaning Cleaning of bearings, gribbers, sensors and ANILOX rollers. Micropellets (Ø1,7 mm) or crushed Dry Ice must be used on delicate areas, such as sensors, cables, and ANILOX rollers.
