Product catalog summary
Overview
The Aqua-Jet® Surface Aerators by Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. are engineered for effective wastewater treatment, known for their durability and performance. They are applicable in oxidation ditches, equalization basins, and sludge holding.
Advantages
These aerators offer proven oxygen and mixing performance, easy installation, short lead times, and high-efficiency motors. They are easily retrievable and adaptable to existing plants with various mooring options.
Design and Materials
The aerators feature a vibration-controlled design and are made from high-quality materials like 17-4 PH stainless steel shafts and 316 stainless steel propellers. The float is stabilized with closed-cell polyurethane foam.
Components
Key components include a labyrinth seal guard, diffusion head, one-piece shaft, anti-deflection insert, and a volute designed for corrosive and abrasive conditions. The propeller is non-clogging, and the intake cone ensures smooth flow.
Specifications
Detailed specifications for single and dual-speed units are provided, including dimensions, shaft diameters, and shipping weights for various horsepower models.
Operating Depths
Charts indicate typical operating depths for different horsepower units, highlighting zones of complete mix and oxygen dispersion.
Accessories
Accessories include the Aqua-Jet II® Contained Flow Aerator for cold weather, anti-erosion assemblies, draft tubes for deeper water intake, and the Arctic Pak to minimize icing.
Recommendations
Concrete pads or protective measures are recommended in basins to prevent erosion and leakage, especially in earthen or linen basins.
Diffuser Design and Functionality
An ethylene ring on the diffusion head increases the diffuser diameter, reducing windblown spray and misting, suitable for colder climates.
Mooring Arrangements
  • Post Mooring: For larger lagoons, using a mooring post installed into the lagoon floor.
  • Pivotal Mooring: Suitable for varying water levels, with arms up to 13 meters.
  • Maintenance Mooring: Allows aerator maintenance without disconnecting the line.
  • Restrained Mooring: For varying water levels, allowing the aerator to slide on posts.
Options and Recommendations
Data and dimensions are for estimation only; specific designs may require tailored solutions. Consultation with Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. is advised.
Product Offerings
Products include Aqua-Jet® Surface Aerators, AquaDDM® Direct Drive Mixer-Blenders, Aqua MixAir® Aeration Systems, among others, for specific water treatment applications.
