Operation Description:

Filtration Mode: Wastewater enters the filter tank, submerging the stationary cloth media drum. Solids are intercepted by hair-like fibers in the cloth media, and filtrate is collected and discharged through the center shaft.
Backwash Mode: As solids build up, headloss increases, triggering automatic backwash. The drum rotates, and a backwash header removes solids while filtration continues uninterrupted.
Solids Wasting Mode: Heavier solids settling at the tank bottom are periodically removed by the Settled Solids Pump.

Applications: The AquaDrum® filter is ideal for economical treatment of smaller flows, especially where driving head is limited. It is part of Aqua-Aerobic Systems' line of pile cloth media filtration systems, continuing the tradition of the AquaDisk® and AquaDiamond® filters.
