The AquaCAM-D® is constructed robustly and designed uniquely to provide an effective, low-cost solution for advanced treatment. It operates as an aerator when the air valve is open and as a mixer when the air valve is closed, allowing for anoxic mixing during selected phases of the SBR cycle. The decanter's submerged weir opens post-settle phase to draw clear effluent, preparing the system for the next cycle. A microprocessor with automatic level overrides manages the operation during peak flow conditions.

Process Description

The AquaCAM-D® is a proven aerator/mixer/decanter for Sequencing Batch Reactor systems, treating flows from a few thousand to 100,000 gallons per day. It is effective in municipal and industrial applications for both pretreatment and secondary wastewater treatment. The unit independently aerates and mixes the SBR reactor while offering subsurface decanting of final effluent. High velocity water movement through the air induction volute creates a pressure differential, drawing atmospheric air into the volute and discharging it into the basin to enhance oxygen transfer. Reactor mixing without aeration reduces oxidized nitrogen, enhances biological phosphorus removal, and provides anoxic conditioning of the sludge mass.
