The Aqua MiniDisk® Cloth Media Filter is a high-performance filtration system designed to achieve low total suspended solids (TSS) and phosphorus levels. It features vertically oriented cloth media disks that reduce the required footprint and offer easy maintenance with lightweight, removable segments.

In this mode, wastewater enters through the influent channel, submerging the stationary cloth media disks. Solids are stored within the thick pile media, and the filtrate is collected inside the disks before being discharged to the effluent channel.
Solids are backwashed at a predetermined liquid level or time. Backwash shoes contact the media directly, and solids are removed by vacuum pressure from the backwash pump.
Heavier solids on the tank bottom are intermittently removed via the backwash/solids pump.
The Aqua MiniDisk filter's modular design allows it to retrofit into existing 9 ft. (2.74 m) wide concrete traveling bridge filter basins, doubling the hydraulic capacity of original sand filters.
