System Description: The system features multiple RBC disks mounted on a steel shaft, providing a large surface area for biofilm growth. The disks rotate to aerate the biomass, eliminating the need for additional aeration systems. Following the RBC, a cloth media drum filter collects and removes biological solids, negating the need for a secondary clarifier.

Operation: Effluent from a primary sedimentation basin enters the biological treatment section, where biofilm on the RBC disks removes BOD and oxidizes ammonia. The RBC disks are partially submerged and rotate to aerate the biomass. The flow then moves to the filter section, where biological solids are collected and removed during backwashing. The backwash water is returned to the sedimentation basin, and biosolids are anaerobically digested and removed every three to six months.

Applications: Suitable for small communities, tourist complexes, construction sites, industrial wastewater, hotels, schools, and highway rest areas.
