Product catalog summary
Introduction
Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysis is a non-specific method for determining organic compounds in water, valued for its accuracy, speed, and low cost. The AppliTOC® Series enhances this method with advanced features for continuous, on-line monitoring across various applications.

Specifications
The AppliTOC® can be configured for True TOC, Total Inorganic Carbon (TIC), or Total Carbon (TC) analysis. It features smart add-ons to reduce downtime, a built-in carbon removal system, and unique IR detectors. It supports up to three sampling points and includes an industrial PC with controller software.

Applications
AppliTOC® is suitable for monitoring organic carbon in surface water, boiler feed water, cooling water, wastewater, and industrial wastewater. It is also applicable in demineralized water production, wastewater treatment, groundwater reclamation, and water recycling.

Analytical Performance
The system offers continuous analysis with low detection limits, high sensitivity, and selectivity. It supports samples with up to 2% salt content and is factory configured, tested, and calibrated.

Smart Functions
Features include auto-cleaning, auto-calibration, and auto-validation, reducing operator intervention and enhancing performance. Users can program analysis sequences and intervals.

Data Exchange and Supervision
The system allows remote access and control via LAN Ethernet, with options for MODBUS interface for integration with control systems.

Multiple Streams Analysis
The ModuPlex® unit enables monitoring of up to three streams, reducing costs per sampling point.

Optimal Oxidation Efficiency
AppliTOC® uses an adapted UV/persulfate method, optimizing reactor temperature, UV light intensity, and aerosol formation for efficient oxidation.

Determination Methods
- Total Organic Carbon (TOC): Measures non-purgeable organic carbon (NPOC) after stripping volatile and purgeable carbon.
- Total Carbon (TC): Measures all carbon compounds, both organic and inorganic.
- Total Inorganic Carbon (TIC): Measures CO2, carbonate, and bicarbonate after inorganic carbon removal.
- True TOC: Accounts for volatile and purgeable carbon, providing a complete organic carbon measure.

Technical Specifications
- Analysis Method: Hot-aerosol UV/persulfate
- Measuring Ranges: Various ranges from 0-5 mg C/L to 0-10,000 mg C/L
- Cycle Time: 6-12 minutes
- Detection Limit: Better than 250 µg/l

2 | Series of On-line TOC Analyzers Smart funcƟons Total Organic Carbon analysis has been classied as a non-specic analysis method to determine the organic compounds in water. Its inherent accuracy and speed, combined with a low cost of ownership make it a preferred (standard) analysis method in many countries and industries. AppliTek has taken this concept a step further with the development of the AppliTOC® Series of On-line TOC Analyzers. have been eld-tested for many years in a wide range of applications and environments. A high sample ow rate not only assures low levels of detection (range...

3 | Series of On-line TOC Analyzers OpƟmal oxidaƟon eciency DeterminaƟon of Total Inorganic Carbon Although all UV/persulfate TOC analyzers employ similar basic techniques, AppliTek has challenged the boundaries of this technology. AppliTOC® uses an adapted version of the standard TOC method in accordance with standard methods USEPA 415.2, ISO 8245 and DIN-EN 1484, by netuning the oxidation process and optimizing its core performance: Total Inorganic Carbon (TIC) includes all compounds coming from the inorganic carbon removal stage, and includes the purgeable organic carbon (POC) and the volatile...
