Description: The UF1 series of isometric force/load sensors is designed for measuring both tensile and compressive forces. These sensors are suitable for applications requiring high accuracy and minimal deflection, such as muscular and membrane movement monitoring, yarn and fabric tension control, fluid viscosity measurement, and even measuring forces in butterfly wings during flight. The sensors are available with capacities ranging from 25 grams to 1500 grams and are known for their high output, low deflection, high overload capacity, and versatile mounting arrangements. They are sealed to IP51 standards and come with a 3-year warranty.
Specifications: The UF1 sensors have rated capacities of 25, 55, 110, 220, 450, 1000, and 1500 grams, with a nominal rated output of 4 mV/V. They offer an accuracy of less than 0.30% of the rated output and repeatability of less than 0.10%. The zero balance is within ±2% of the rated output. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C, with a compensated range of +10°C to +60°C. The temperature effect on output and zero is less than 0.05% per °C. The maximum overload capacity is 2500 grams for all capacities, with an excitation voltage of up to 10 volts DC. The bridge impedance is 725 ohms nominal, and insulation impedance is greater than 100 megaohms at 50Vdc. The deflection is less than ±0.03% of the rated output.
Environmental and Electrical Details: The sensors are environmentally protected to IP51 standards and feature electrical connections via four PTFE insulated solder terminals. The wiring schematic includes +ve Excitation (Red), -ve Output (Yellow), +ve Output (Green), and -ve Excitation (Blue).

LOAD CELL/ FORCE SENSOR High Output High Overload Capacity Versatile Mounting Arrangement The UFI range of isometric force/load sensors is designed for the measurement of both tensile and compressive forces. The UF I has proved to be the first choice sensor for a multitude of applications including muscular and membrane movement monitoring, yarn and fabric tension control, fluid viscosity measurement and even the measuring the force induced in butterfly wings during flight to name a few. The UF I is very popular in applications where our forces to be measured are very small due to it's good level of accuracy, minimal deflection and flexible mounting arrangement and high overload capacity. The UFI, as with all other Applied Measurements sensors, can be supplied complete with monitoring/control electronics and calibrated as a system (please refer to the Instrumentation datasheets).
