APM Hexseal provides a variety of self-sealing fasteners such as screws, bolts, nuts, and washers. These fasteners are designed to ensure both fastening and sealing integrity, featuring a precision-engineered groove with a resilient O-ring for an absolute seal and full metal-to-metal contact. They are suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature environments, capable of withstanding pressures up to 20,000 psig and temperatures ranging from -160°F to +500°F.
- SEELSKREWS®: Available in multiple head types and thread sizes, designed to prevent contamination. Options include self-locking pellets, strips, or patches.
- SEELBOLTS®: High-pressure sealing bolts available in standard thread sizes with optional sealing materials.
- SEELNUTS®: Self-sealing nuts that create a high-pressure seal, eliminating the need for gaskets or sealing compounds.
- SEELRIVETS®: High-pressure sealing rivets made from aluminum alloy with silicone rubber O-rings.
APM offers thread-embedded pellets, strips, and pre-applied thread patches to enhance vibration resistance and maintain sealing integrity.
Fasteners are made from stainless steel, brass, or steel with various finishes. They comply with UL and CSA standards and are resistant to saltwater, weather, and most acids.
These fasteners are ideal for use in instrument housings, pressure gauges, gearboxes, valves, motor housings, fuel tanks, and more, where leakage could compromise reliability.
Fasteners are available in both metric and imperial sizes, with various head and drive styles. Custom applications and special orders are available upon consultation with the factory.
SEELRIVETS® and SEELOC® washers are designed for high-performance sealing in various applications. SEELRIVETS® operate within a temperature range of -106°C to +260°C and can withstand pressures up to 6000 psi. They are resistant to salt water, weather, dirt, dust, sunlight, ozone, and most acids. SEELOC® washers have a temperature range of -160°F to +500°F and a pressure range of 0 to 100 psig, with a shelf life exceeding 25 years.
SEELRIVETS® are installed similarly to standard rivets, with permissible deburring practices. SEELOC® washers are installed on bolts, screws, or studs like regular washers, with the rubber section facing the panel.
When ordering SEELRIVETS®, specify the head style, rivet diameter, and length. For SEELOC® washers, specify the thread size and washer dimensions. Custom sizes and materials are available upon request.
These products are suitable for electrical enclosures, laboratory equipment, manufacturing and process equipment, marine equipment, and any application exposed to spray or wash downs.
SEELRIVETS® provide a high-pressure seal while allowing metal-to-metal contact. SEELOC® washers offer air and liquid-tight sealing, are reusable, and resistant to vibration. Both products comply with RoHS and DFARS standards.
