Product catalog summary
Diaphragm Seal Dimensions
  • Specifications: The document provides detailed dimensions for diaphragm seals, including diaphragm diameter, contact face diameter, bolt circle diameter, external diameter, thickness, hole diameter, number of holes, and tube length for various standards such as DN50 PN40, 2’’ ANSI 150, DN80 PN40, 3’’ ANSI 150, and DN100 PN40, 4’’ ANSI 150.
  • Application: Diaphragm seals are used to isolate pressure measuring devices from damaging impacts such as temperature extremes, viscosity, impurities, crystallization, and vibrations. They are particularly useful in multi-walled tanks.
  • Connection: The seals can be directly or remotely connected to smart and analog pressure transmitters and gauges.
  • Recommended Measuring Range: The document outlines the minimum measuring range in bars for different seal types and configurations, emphasizing the importance of considering the set ranges for smart transmitters.
  • Recommendations: To minimize thermal zero error, it is advised to use short capillaries, larger diameter seals, and place capillaries in areas with minimal temperature fluctuations.
  • Zero Error: The document provides data on absolute zero error per 10°C for different diaphragm seal types and configurations, highlighting the impact of temperature gradients.
  • Temperature Range: The temperature range for measured mediums is specified for both remote and direct diaphragm seals, with recommendations for heating capillaries in low ambient temperatures.
  • Pressure and Material: Maximum pressure ratings are provided for PN40 and ANSI 150 standards, with materials specified as 316L stainless steel.
  • Special Versions and Ordering: Information on special versions, other standards, and ordering procedures is included, with options for direct and remote diaphragm seals.

Flanged seals with extended diaphragm S-T-1

Diaphragm seal dimensions Version Application The diaphragm seal is a pressure-transmitting, diaphragm-type device. The pressure signal is sent to the cooperating pressure measuring device (pressure transmitter, pressure gauge) through manometric liquid filling the space between the separating diaphragm of the seal and the pressure measuring device. The diaphragm seal task is to isolate the pressure measuring device from damaging impacts caused by either medium or installation: - low or high temperature, increased viscosity, impurities; - tendency to crystallisation on the tank walls; - vibrations of the installation (remote diaphragm seal). The flanged diaphragm seal with extended diaphragm is typically applied to measure the pressure or level of the media in a multi-walled tank, where the separating diaphragm should be placed close to the inner wall of the tank.
