The SIGMATWIN double-wall plate is designed to enhance security in production processes, specifically for heat exchanger plates used as safety plates.
Construction and Functional Concept
  • The SIGMATWIN consists of a pair of SIGMA plates molded together and inserted into each other.
  • Sealing is achieved at the four holes using either laser-weldings or flat ring gaskets.
  • In the event of a plate crack, leakage is directed into the gap between the plates and then outside, preventing contamination of the media/products involved in heat transfer.
  • These heat exchangers can be opened for inspection or maintenance like standard plate heat exchangers, allowing for revision of the gasketed double-wall plate gaps.

  • Models: M 7 DW, M 9 DW, 26 DW, 37 DW, 66 DW
  • Applicable for volume flow rates up to 320 m3/h.
  • Plate thickness options: 2 x 0.3 mm or 2 x 0.4 mm.
