Photos: Krones AG Measurements without limits The available space within filling systems is borderline, and some of the measurement tasks can only be solved with a certain amount of bodily acrobatics. The optimised transport paths that can be thereby achieved in the systems promise a higher efficiency and lower energy consumption. However, even the latest portable measurement machines, such as measurement arms, reach their limits here – not the least because they often have to be rearranged due to their mechanical measurement principle and the thereby limited measurement volume. Laser trackers score here due to their considerably larger operational radius. And not only that: Thanks to their ability to carry out measurements at very steep angles upwards or downwards, API laser trackers can be used very close to the component being measured.
