OverviewThe document provides detailed specifications and features of the APAFOR® 550 and 560 geotechnical
drilling rigs, manufactured by APAGEO. These machines are designed for versatile drilling operations, including coring, rotary, and rotary-percussion drilling.
General SpecificationsThe rigs feature a mechanically welded steel frame mounted on a hydraulic rubber track with a width of 1.40 meters. They include four emergency stops and two safety wires, with prefitting for a drilling data logger. Remote control for movement is available, with wireless options.
Technical SpecificationsThe APAFOR® 550 is powered by a 53 HP Deutz diesel engine, while the 560 model uses a 60 HP soundproofed Caterpillar engine. Both models have a floating shaft with a swivel featuring male 2"3/8 IF and female R38 threads. The hydraulic hammer delivers 180 joules at 1300 bpm, with a pull-up force ranging from 0 to 4000 daN. The rigs are equipped with proportional hydraulic controls and four hydraulic jacks for stabilization. Mast lengths vary from 3.65 to 4.41 meters, and the hydraulic rod clamp accommodates diameters from 30 to 160 mm with a capacity of 8000 daN. The basic model weighs 2800 kg, with dimensions of 3.8 x 1.7 x 5 meters in drilling position.
OptionsAvailable options include a hydraulic injection
pump, hydraulic sliding of the drilling head, manipulation winch capstan for SPT, wireline winch, rock drilling mast advance system, rotation speed sensor (VIR®), and a sensor for reflective energy (Vibrasol®). Additional options can be requested.
Rotation Head SpecificationsThe rigs offer a rotation head with variable displacement hydraulic controls. The standard rotation speed ranges from 0 to 510 rpm with a torque of 0 to 310 daN.m. For coring, the rotation speed ranges from 0 to 780 rpm with a torque of 0 to 185 daN.m.
