It seals threaded joints tight and will not crack or crumble. Contains no lead or other heavy metals and is safe for all water systems. It’s a good choice for Residential and Light Industrial applications. AST-PPD™ is a good choice for Plumber who likes to use a Pipe Dope along with PTFE Thread Seal Tape for their installations. Not recommended for use on plastic. AST-PPD™ can be used on plumbing installations carrying air, water, steam, natural gas, ammonia, brine, dilute acids and alkalis. Not recommended for Oxygen systems. Storage and Shelf Life AST-PPD™ should be stored in closed containers. Keep closed when not in use. Optimal storage is at ambient temperatures or lower. Shelf Life is 2 years or longer if stored properly. Keep away form heat and open flame. Cautions Read all information on labels and Safety Data Sheets prior to use.
