Product overview Built for the tough fires High-risk areas - where large, potentially disastrous fires could occur - demand heavy-duty fire protection. ANSUL® Large Dry Chemical Piped System uses proven technology for fast knockdown and suppression of the toughest fires. Protect high-risk areas • Fast flame knockdown • Sizes to match various applications • Automatic detection and release options • Storage tanks meet ASME and DOT standards • Various nozzle sizes and flow rates • Selector valve option for multiple hazards Powerful ANSUL® Large Dry Chemical Piped System provides up to 3,000lbs (1,361kgs) of dry chemical to fight the toughest flammable liquid and gas fires. Versatile protection for complex hazards To match potential fire hazards, agent storage tanks are available in six nominal capacities ranging from 150 lb (68 kg) to 3,000 lb (1361 kg) of dry chemical. Dry chemical system discharge nozzles are designed for specific application methods and discharge patterns to accommodate large industrial applications such as warehouses, marine tanker decks, fuel loading racks at refineries and chemical plants, offshore platforms and flammable liquid storage areas. The ANSUL® system can provide automatic detection, actuation and suppression for complex hazards that are too difficult and inaccessible for a manual means of firefighting. Plus, the suppression system can be equipped with selector valves to cover multiple hazards from the same dry chemical supply. The right agent for your application Depending on the type of fire hazard being faced, the system is offered with various firefighting agents, including: • FORAY multipurpose dry chemical for use on Class A, B and C fires. • PLUS-FIFTY C and Purple-K dry chemicals for Class B and C fires. • MET-L-X dry powder for most Class D fires involving combustible metals. • MET-L-KYL dry chemical for Class B fires involving most metal alkyls. • LITH-X dry powder for lithium fires and fires involving high melting-point metals.
