Analytical Technology A15/76 Turbidity Monitor

Product catalog summary
Overview: The Model A15/76 Turbidity Monitor by Analytical Technology, Inc. is designed for measuring the optical clarity of water by detecting light scattered at a 90-degree angle. It is suitable for both municipal drinking water systems and industrial water treatment applications, offering a wide measurement range from 0.001 NTU to 4000 NTU.
Specifications: The monitor uses an infrared light source and a planer sensor with a 90-degree scatter measurement. It features high sensitivity and zero stability, with a display range of 0-4 NTU for high-resolution applications. The system can also measure suspended solids with ranges from 0-10 mg/l to 0-10,000 mg/l.
Sensor and Flowcell: The turbidity sensor is available for pressurized flowcell or direct submersion applications. It is designed to operate under pressure to prevent air bubble errors. The flowcell is necessary for low turbidity measurements, while submersion units are suitable for higher turbidity applications.
Features: The monitor includes programmable alarms, an isolated 4-20 mA output, and sensor diagnostics to detect fouling or dry cell conditions. An optional auto-cleaning system (Model D15/76) is available for submersion applications, using an air-blast cleaning mechanism.
Technical Details: The system operates within -20° to +55° C and 0-95% relative humidity. It supports power inputs of 110/220 VAC and features a NEMA 4X enclosure for wall mounting. The sensor is constructed from Delrin with acrylic optical windows, and the flowcell is made from PVC.
Ordering Information: The monitor is available in various configurations, including panel mount or NEMA 4X wall mount enclosures, and different sensor types for submersion or flowcell applications. Additional options include mounting brackets and extended sensor cables.

Analytical Technology A15/76 Turbidity Monitor-2

Turbidity is a general indicator of the optical clarity of water, and is defined as the amount of light scattered from particles in solution. In practice, a light beam is directed into a water sample and a photo detector measures the light scattered at 90 degrees to the incident light beam. While other scatter angles are possible, the 90-degree measurement angle has become the standard for turbidity measurement in most water systems. It is used as a relative indicator of the amount of suspended solids in solution, and is measured in virtually all drinking water systems. It is also used in industrial...

Analytical Technology A15/76 Turbidity Monitor-3

Turbidity Monitor > The monitor provides display of turbidity over a variety ofoperating ranges. The minimum display range of 0-4 NTU provides resolution down to 0.001 NTU and is suitable for almost any final filter monitoring application. Ranges of 0- 40 or 0-400 NTU are available for raw water or clarifier efflu- ent monitoring. A 0-4000 NTU range may be used for very high turbidity applications such as river water monitoring. In addition, the monitor may be calibrated for suspended solids measurements, with ranges from 0-10 mg/l up to 0- 10,000 mg/l. Standard turbidity systems provide a variety...
