Introduction to WPC Extrusion Process
WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) is a blend of thermoplastic material and vegetable-origin fibers, offering a wood-like appearance suitable for various applications. The fibers, sourced from renewable materials, can constitute up to 80% of the blend. The polymeric component may include industrial scrap or post-consumer waste, making WPC products 100% recyclable and ecologically friendly.

Vegetable Fibers Features

Low apparent density (0.2 to 0.3 kg/m³).
Hygroscopic nature with water content between 7% and 15%.
Thermally unstable at high temperatures.

Compacted or expanded profiles.
Single or double wall profiles.
Sheets.

Materials Used

Polymers: Polyolefins (PE, PP), PVC.
Natural Fibers: Wood fibers, rice hull, sugar cane, hemp.
Additives: Compactors, lubricants, antioxidants, anti-UV, anti-moulds, mineral fillers, pigments, foaming agents, PVC additives, processing aids.

EASYWOOD® System
The EASYWOOD® system is designed for direct extrusion of finished products and compounding without premixing. It includes a gravimetric dosing system and a counter-rotating twin screw extruder, suitable for processing highly viscous WPC compounds.

Production Methods

Direct extrusion for medium-high outputs.
Compounding and extrusion for small profiles with lower outputs.

Configuration and Features

Gravimetric dosing unit ensures accuracy and low energy consumption.
Counter-rotating twin screw extruder allows high-pressure extrusion with low screw speed and high torque.
Plasticization section available for polyolefin and PVC, designed to reduce stress and wear.
Partial drying of fibers reduces energy consumption and equipment size.

Production Capacities
The EASYWOOD® range includes systems for outputs of 250, 400, and 600 kg/h.
