COEXTRUSION HEADS SERIES TECO FOR PIPES

COEXTRUSION HEADS SERIES TECO FOR PIPES

Product catalog summary
Introduction
AMUT specializes in designing and manufacturing extrusion and co-extrusion heads and dies for use with their latest-generation extruders. These components are crucial for producing high-quality extruded pipes with uniform thickness, smooth surfaces, and minimal welding bead prominence.
Specifications
The extrusion heads are designed to ensure low resistance to melt flow, preventing negative impacts on screw mixing. They maintain a consistent flow speed, avoiding areas of slower material flow, and apply appropriate shear stress to prevent material deposits. High-shear zones are minimized to reduce energy dissipation and material stress.
Co-Extrusion Capabilities
AMUT's co-extrusion heads can handle up to five layers, catering to various industrial sectors. The design complexity increases with the need to manage multiple material flows within a single head. AMUT's solutions are noted for their simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use.
Design and Engineering
The TECO series co-extrusion heads utilize spiral distribution, either through concentric spirals or parallel flat spirals. Material flow division and layer coupling are performed symmetrically to ensure a uniform melt feed. Special attention is given to co-extruding materials with different rheological properties to prevent flow instability.
Manufacturing and Finishing
AMUT emphasizes precise channel finishing and mechanical machining to ensure perfect component coupling. Surface treatments are applied to enhance sliding and prevent chemical corrosion, addressing specific operational challenges.

COEXTRUSION HEADS SERIES TECO FOR PIPES-1

Italiano - English AMUT designs and manufactures extrusion and co-extrusion heads and dies to be assembled on its own latest-generation-extruders. The extrusion heads play a decisive role in the production of extruded pipes: thickness uniformity, regular aspect of the inner and outer surface, very good positioning and reduced thickness of the welding beads, absence of residual tensions; all parameters required for a good quality pipe.

COEXTRUSION HEADS SERIES TECO FOR PIPES-2
