Product OverviewThe Modular JENCOLOR OEM Hardware Solution is designed for color detection and measurement using the modEVA concept. It includes a modular application board with a main board, sensor plug-modules, optical adaptation, illumination, and software. It is suitable for measuring reflectance, emission, and transmission according to the Tri-stimulus value function under DIN5033 standards. The system is configurable in terms of function, parameters, and interface, and can be integrated into customer applications via API and hardware interfaces.
Main Board MTCS-ME1The main board features microcontroller-controlled signal detection, 12-bit digitization, and memory for calibration data. It supports integration into control sequences with interrupt and IO terminal pins. Power is supplied via USB, with additional connectors for RS232 and I²C. It includes a programmable voltage source for illuminator control and is available in different assembly versions for various interfaces.
Plug Modules- modEVA-TOP: Designed for reflective flat target color measurement with a 45°/0° illumination/sensor geometry. It includes four white LEDs, a sensor, and a signal amplifier.
- modEVA-FRONT: Similar to modEVA-TOP but with two white LEDs and alternative electrical connectors.
- modEVA-DARK: Suitable for luminescent targets or reflective targets with external illumination. It offers TIA and current-to-charge converter configurations with a 0° sensor geometry and 2° aperture angle.
Software FeaturesThe modEVA software supports averaging of ADC operations, ambient light compensation, smart signal integration, and brightness control for LEDs. It allows calibration via a 3x3 correction matrix and manages application-specific settings stored in on-board memory. An API and driver for USB and RS232 interfaces are available.
Test SoftwareThe modEVA test software provides a measurement value display and configuration window for user interaction.
