MTCS-C3 - OLED/LED TEST SYSTEMS AND DEVELOPMENT KITS TRUE COLOR MEASUREMENT MADE SIMPLE True Color Measurement made simple The MTCS-C3 product family enables users to implement their own True Color Colorimeter into lighting, backlight, LED test, color selection or other applications. The MTCS-C3 is ideal to measure color coordinates (XYZ), CCT or brightness levels. The sensor system is based on the JENCOLOR® standard components MTCSiCF (True Color sensor) and MCDC04 (Signal converter). The sensor is based on the CIE1931 XYZ color standard, while the signal converter allows an output at 16/20 bit at a dynamic range of 1-to-1,000,000 and the option to freely chose the integration time. Therefore displays can be measured at very low brightness levels and at high accuracy - even dimmable high brightness power LEDs and brightness levels can be measured close to the target. Test Software The colorimeter has a micro USB interface and can connect multiple MTCS-C3 Colorimeter via Windows software. This easily allows to set up multi-point sensor systems with a master device at a very low price point. The software includes ADC parameters such as gain, integration time, offset correction and divider options (20 over 16 Bit). The values can be individually calibrated to the application via simple user calibration and have several output options (color spaces, export functions, etc.) Integration times can be freely chosen starting at 1ms and above. Even special features like flicker detection for displays or the frequency detection of puled light sources are implemented. For customer-applications, an adaptation of the software is offered or they can use the DLL libraries to develop and integrate their own software solution. LED/OLED Light Quality Tests Binning or series end tests? Are the products you are receiving within the specs? Is the CCT correct? These questions can often only be solved using expensive spectrometer solutions and measuring samples. Multipoint test solutions commonly are expensive and hard to implement. The MTCS-C3 is an ideal solution for LED/ OLED tests in manufacturing, incoming goods inspection or RND. A simple user calibration can be performed for the existing LED selection and as soon as color or brightness deviations occur, actions can be taken. Accuracies of Y = 1% or Delta u’v’ ≤ 0,003 are possible for specific applications. The MTCS-C3 sensor system can be easily implemented within existing test system, based on the available delivery forms.
