JENCOLOR- True Color Sensors-1

JENCOLOR – TRUE COLOR SENSORS. CIE 1931 |DIN 5033 BASED COLOR MEASUREMENT. PRODUCT INFORMATION. ized with micro-structured filter layers with high transmission within the band-pass range and are long-term stable against mechanical and temperature influences. The True Color sensors are suitable for applications where accurate color measurement of emitting, remitting or transmitting sources are required. Examples are: LED testing and binning options, monitor calibration, feedback control, or a wide range of applications where compact and cost-efficient modules are used for color measurement purposes. MAZeT's spectral and color sensor solutions are branded under the JENCOLOR trademark BETTER THAN THE HUMAN EYE The next generation of JENCOLOR True Color sensors utilize the tristimulus function based on the CIE 1931 and DIN 5033 part 2 standards. This enables color measurements based on DIN 5033 part 6 based on perception values of the human eye - A measurement with spectral characteristics. The sensors consist of PIN photodiodes with optimized sensitivity within the visual wavelength range and directly fitted interference filters. The interference filters are real- The spectral transmission function of the sensors result from a function based on spectral sensitivity of the base material and the transmission function of the filter elements - the tristimulus function describes the resulting sensor sensitivity. The output current of the color sensor ICs are the result of the function of the spectral composition of the incoming light, weighted with the function of the filters fitted onto the photodiode. Via amplification or standardization of measurement values with a defined factor for each channel, the standardized method of sensitometry by Robert Luther has been achieved. The resulting absolute XYZ tristimulus values can be used for further calculations within any color space. HIGHLIGHTS Detection / measurement of colors, a lot faster and more accurate than the human eye Value output in XYZ based on CIE 1931 / DIN5033 Calibration in L*a*b, Luv, XYZ, xyY, or others Long-term stable filters JENCOLOR c/o MAZeT GmbH PI-05-174e V3.1 High temperature stability High transmission > 95%, low rest transmission <1% Low level dark currents Signal input frequency >100 kHz Fast color measurement as handheld, stand-alone, and inline solutions for emission, remission and transmission MAZeT GmbH Sales Göschwitzer Straße 32 | 07745 Jena | Germany | Mr. Frank Krumbein | Phone +49 3641 2809-17 | Fax +49 3641 2809-12 [email protected] | www.MAZeT.de

JENCOLOR – TRUE COLOR SENSORS. CIE 1931 |DIN 5033 BASED COLOR MEASUREMENT. PRODUCT INFORMATION. HIGH QUALITY COLOR MEASUREMENT Delta E For the demonstration of the accuracy grade within the color measurement, color sensors and white light LED have been used to perform test measurements. The following table compares the sensor types based on their specific characteristics. For the measurements the RAL color table CLASSIC was illuminated by a white light LED with lpeak = 450 nm. In the right column the table shows in how far the color measurement accuracy of the specific sensor classes continuously...
