There are two distinct software packages that are needed for the DP4 (both included): embedded software that runs on the controller on the DP4, and acquisition and control software that runs on the attached computer. These are fully functional pro- grams, allowing complete control of the hardware. With the DP4, the user may tailor the software for both the em-bedded processor and the interface to do exactly what is required for a particular application.
