In contrast to “normal” asphalt mixing plants, the mixer is situated centrally beneath the recycling section of the mixing tower. The advantage: no horizontal conveying of reclaimed asphalt. This arrangement allows the omission of asymmetrical containers and angular transport chutes. The plant is very compact and less tall as a result. Drastically shortening the transport distances inside the plant in this manner massively minimises wear and tear and reduces energy costs (heating the transport routes). Optimised mixing process The HRT concept supports the independent feed of both hot and cold reclaimed asphalt, which in turn means that fine-ground components can be processed separately. Feeding finely ground cold reclaimed asphalt directly into the mixer significantly reduces the residue in the recycling drum.
