The SAF 6000 is a self-cleaning screen filter designed for reliability and durability. Features
The SAF 6000 is designed for long-term, simple operation with minimal maintenance. It ensures continuous flow without interruption during self-cleaning and is suitable for various applications, especially for filtering poor quality water. It features a large filtration area with an advanced multi-layer weavewire screen for high total suspended solids (TSS) loads at high flow rates.

How the SAF 6000 Filter Works
Raw water enters through the inlet and passes through a coarse screen to protect the cleaning mechanism. It then flows through a fine screen where dirt particles are trapped. Clean water exits through the outlet. A pressure differential switch initiates the cleaning process when the pressure differential reaches a pre-set value, typically 7.0 psi.

The Self-Cleaning Process
The cleaning is performed by a suction scanner that spirals across the screen. An open exhaust valve creates a high-velocity suction stream that vacuums the filter cake from the screen. This process takes 15-40 seconds, during which filtered water continues to flow downstream.

The Control System
Operation and monitoring are managed by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), offering maximum flexibility and a range of control options, from stand-alone units to full integration with central control systems.

Construction Materials
The filter housing and lid are made of epoxy-coated carbon steel, with stainless steel 316 available upon request. The screens and cleaning mechanism are made of stainless steel 316, POM, and PVC. The exhaust valve is made of epoxy-coated cast iron with natural rubber seals.

Standard Filtration Degrees
The filter supports various filtration degrees, ranging from 800 to 10 microns, using stainless steel weavewire screens.
