AMI Catalogue-2

AMI incremental angle encoders are constructed and manufactured for multiple applications in close cooperation with each user also for roughest operational demands. AMI encoders are used everywhere there, where direction, paths and angles as well as speed have to be precisely collected and measured. AMI has been manufacturing incremental encoders with up to 18000 pulses for more than 30 years, also including hollow shafts up to 60 mm, electronic measuring hand wheels with mechanical and magnetic lock-ins, which are used in driving-motors, the tool-machinery and robot-industry. Without the engaged...

Principle of Measuring, Accuracy and Scanning Principle of Measuring AMI encoders with optical scanning are manufactured with incremental graduations which are applied on to glass and/or etched in phosphorous bronze. The information of a position is given by counting each increment, starting from a zero-pulse placed at an optional place, forwarded to the signal-operating electronic component. The zero-pulse is determined by an additionally applied reference-marker. The graduations applied are mainly manufactured in lithographic processes. This process allows very precise and exact sharply edged...

AMI encoders have proved to be important system-components between engineering mechanics and analysis of electronics. They are rough, electrically reliable and operate reliably also under extreme environmental conditions. Fields of applications of AMI encoders are: tool-machinery, robots, mounting-and handling devices, electric drives, motors, elevators as well as measuring- and all kinds of testing devices.
