Specifications:
Type AMI 513 is a pulse encoder with capabilities for up to 10,000 pulses. It offers favorite pulse settings of 1,024, 1,250, 2,500, 3,600, and 10,000. Internal interpolation is available from 2 to 50 times.

Mechanical Data:
The encoder features a hollow shaft with a diameter range of 27 to 55 mm, made from stainless steel. It supports an axial shaft load of 10 N and a radial load of 20 N, with a maximum rotating speed of 4,000 rpm. The working temperature range is 0°C to +80°C. It can withstand vibrations of 10 g (20 to 2,000 Hz) and shocks of 100 g (11 ms). The ingress protection rating is IP 52 on the shaft, with an optional upgrade to IP62.

Electrical Data:
The encoder provides square wave and sinusoidal signals using an LED light source. It operates at voltages of 5 Volt ± 5%, 10 to 30 Volt, and 5 to 30 Volt, with a maximum current consumption of 100 mA without load. The output frequency is 300 kHz for square wave signals at 5 Volt and 10 to 30 Volt, and 1 MHz with interpolation. Output levels include a 5 Volt Line-Driver and a 10 to 30 Volt push-pull short-circuit proof, with a current output of 20 mA. It features 2 channels, A and B, phase-shifted by 90° electrically, and a zero-pulse of 1 pulse per revolution with lengths of 90°, 180°, or 360° electrically. All signals are available with inversion.
